Valerio Scrignoli - guitarist/composer

Born in Milan in 1960, he began to play guitar as a self-taught person at the age of 12. Later on he studied jazz guitar with Gherardo Scarpellini and Filippo Daccò. During the Eighties he was playing in several bands in Milan. With the jazz-rock band "Cluster" he played compositions by John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Miles Davis etc. At the end of this period he began to play jazz with the trumpet player Diego Ruvidotti.

Gandhi, Giammarco Polini, Roberto Gazzani, Roberto Eusebi, Veronica Vismara, Michele tacchi, Riccardo Tosi and so on.
Now he plays in "Orange trio" with Carlo Nicita and Tito Mangialaio, in "Cosmophonia Rudimentale", in "Bea's Group", in "Giovanni Falzone Electric Quartet" and in "Nuance jazz manouche". Together with Giulio Martino and Alfredo Laviano, he has just published a CD about J. Coltrane's compositions named "Changing Trane" (Dodicilune Record).
He took part in Varese jazz Festival 2004/2005, Ah-Um jazz festival 2005, Pomigliano jazz festival 2006, Teano jazz Festival 2006, Clusone jazz festival 2006, Pievi Nella Campagna Jazz Festival 2006, Prishtina jazz festival 2006, Piacenza jazz fest 2007, Nick La Rocca 2007.
He is also working as a guitarist under the guidance of Giovanni Falzone in the theatrical performances by Teresa Pomodoro. He plays in the Foundation of Symphonic Orchestra "Giuseppe Verdi" of Milan. Since 1999 he has been demonstrator of The "Roland Italy", since 2006 he's endorser Jacoland and since 2006 he's endorser Edirol.
